Being the avid smoothie bowl creators we are, a constant supply of granola is a must. Today we tried making our own granola by following a simple recipe from Cooking Light magazine (link). The first out of two steps consisted of mixing two bowls of ingredients and putting them on a cookie sheet.
We then popped the sheet in the oven and when the granola was brown, 15 minutes later, we took it out of the oven to let it cool. It is delightfully crunchy and has a nice hint of cinnamon.
We did have to keep an avid watch on it while it was in the oven, for the first round we burned the batch. All in all this recipe is so simple and so far is enjoyable with yogurt, milk, and by itself!
